Startups Pitching for Value Chain Support
Startups can showcase their innovations and invite collaborations with corporate, value chain and/or financial partners. A team of experts will evaluate pitching requests. Round-table discussions on meat-free, dairy-free, fish-free, egg-free and other foods will also create new insights.
The purpose of the pitch is to focus on what you need to grow / scale (versus a pitch for funding.) Where do you need value-chain support (innovation, procurement, expertise, staffing?) Only startups already selling or distributing products, ready to sell the company, or looking for strategic or business partnerships will get 5 minutes to present. A special selection committee will choose the most promising startups.
Pitches should be in one of these seven categories: vegan cheese, meat-free, fish-free, egg-free, plant-protein innovation, plant-based oil & fat innovation or new ingredient processing innovation.
Research Pitches for Funding by Corporates
Since Bridge2Food aims to stimulate collaboration within the value chain we have dedicated a substantial part of the programme to research pitches: we will give research institutes and universities the floor to share projects and pitch for value chain support and funding by corporates. The purpose of the research pitches is to have impact in the protein transition with measurable project ideas and to increase the number of collaborations.
The pitch should include one final slide with concrete points on scope, timing, required financial contributions (possibly with reference to a national/regional funding programs, pre-competitive partnerships and competitive partnerships, etc.) and demonstrate the high quality of the project. The pitch time is 5 minutes. Pitches should be in one of these categories: vegan cheese, meat-free, fish-free, egg-free, plant-protein innovation, plant-based oil & fat innovation or new ingredient processing innovation.
