One of the Course Europe presenters, ADM, have announced they will invest approximately $300 million to significantly expand its Decatur, Illinois, alternative protein production, as the company continues to add capacity to meet demand. They will further enhance their capabilities by opening a new, state-of-the-art Protein Innovation Center.
The Decatur Protein Innovation Center will further expand its cutting-edge innovation complex. The new center will bring together labs, test kitchens, and pilot-scale production capabilities to power innovation, from novel ingredients to more sustainable and efficient processing, to unique and differentiated texture, taste, appearance, and nutrition solutions.
