We welcome Anne Louise Dannesboe Nielsen from Danish Technologic Institute (DTI), as one of fourteen fantastic partners of the Global Plant-Based Foods & Proteins EcoSystem Advisory Board. Anne Louise is the Director of the Food Technology Centre at DTI, where she supports the industry to develop the food of the future with a focus on green conversion. Anne Louise shared with us her vision on the EcoSystem Advisory Board.
Why are you a member of the Advisory Board?
I am honored to have been invited as part of the advisory board of the Bridge2Food plant-based EcoSystem, as I believe this EcoSystem is going to play a great role in transforming our food systems towards a more sustainable, plant-based diet. I will use my spot in the advisory board to be the voice of the knowledge institutions and keep a strong focus on how we can make ground-breaking innovations to our food systems.
What has the EcoSystem done for you?
The EcoSystem is a unique group of industrial and research players in this field, who all have the resources and capabilities to develop the field. Everyone brings something unique to the table and the collaborative spirit of the EcoSystem is quite amazing. I have already used the contacts from the EcoSystem to build research proposals and aid businesses in the development and testing of new products.
Why is your organisation a partner?
DTI has joined the EcoSystem to be part of bringing the latest research into play at the industrial level as well as to stay updated on all the innovations that go on in the industry. Being in the biweekly meetings is a great and easy way of staying updated on the business trends within this field.
What do you think the EcoSystem can do for others in the field?
I believe that anyone who joins the EcoSystem will be met with curiosity, open-mindedness and will soon find new partners for collaboration. Also, it is a great place to have a say in some of the agendas that will be brought forward to policymakers to have your voice heard.
